Getting In The Spirit

I have a new job! Finally after months (and months) of searching I found someone willing to hire me. I was beginning to get discouraged because I have never been without a source of income this long. I still want to build my own business one day, but in the mean time Andrew and I really needed this. So go me!

Over the last couple weeks I’ve really been in the Christmas Spirit and feeding it daily with new things. Decorating trees, making Gingerbread houses and spending time with the people I love…everything is making me eager to start giving my gifts away. All the Christmas themed DIYs lately haven’t helped either!

Next week my bestie, Chelle, is coming to town and I’ve got some fun activities for us to do that will hopefully get her in the spirit with me. Egg Nog, baking, music, photographs, sweet smelling places to veg out at and watch our shows, even a Christmas light gallery I’ve picked out for us to drive through; I can’t wait. Can you tell this is my favorite time of year?

Andrew really surprises me sometimes with his thoughtfulness. He sprinkles my life with random moments of magic and love and I am shown again just why I love this man. Always eager to help out by picking up stuff on his way home from work (when rightfully he could pass on the shear fact he just worked his butt off all day and is most likely tired) and the last time he went to the store he picked us up a Gingerbread House Kit. I haven’t done one of these since I was a kid! It didn’t turn out ANYTHING like the picture on the box but we had a lot of fun regardless.

How do you get into the Holiday Spirit? What are some of your favorite traditions?
